En el aspecto futbolístico, la selección española dominó el desarrollo del encuentro, controló el ritmo del juego y generó las principales opciones de peligro frente al arco argentino.
Sin embargo, el equipo europeo tardó en traducir ese dominio en el marcador. Argentina resistió durante gran parte del compromiso, aunque finalmente no logró contener el constante asedio de su rival.
El único gol de la final llegó en el tiempo extra. Al minuto 105,Ferran Torres, delantero de la selección española, anotó el tanto que decidió el campeonato.

Con su participación en la final del Mundial 2026, el atacante español se convirtió en el primer jugador de 19 años en disputar una final de la Copa del Mundo y una final de la Eurocopa.
El futbolista ya había dado muestras de su talento en la Eurocopa 2024, torneo en el que debutó con apenas 16 años, convirtiéndose en el jugador más joven en disputar esa competición.
En aquella edición, España derrotó 2-1 a Inglaterra en la final con Lamine Yamal como titular. Gracias a ese triunfo y al conseguido frente a Argentina en el Mundial 2026, el joven atacante suma dos títulos internacionales de máximo nivel al inicio de su carrera y consolida un comienzo histórico con la selección española.

2017 NFL Draft “Mr. Irrelevant” Chad Kelly, the nephew of Hall of Famer Jim Kelly, is in his fourth season with the Toronto Argonauts. The 2023 CFL Most Outstanding Player has thrown for 2,126 yards (second in the CFL) and 15 touchdowns (second). Unfortunately, his nine interceptions lead the league through six games played. Kelly was drafted by the Denver Broncos. He played just one NFL game in his career, was released in 2018 by Denver and signed with the Indianapolis Colts in 2019. He was released in 2020 by the club, concluding an NFL career mired by an arrest for trespassing following a Halloween party and a suspension for violation of the league’s personal conduct policy.
KeeSean Johnson, previously a wide receiver with the Arizona Cardinals and a handful of other NFL teams, has 36 receptions (third in the CFL) for 479 receiving yards (third) and three touchdowns through five games.
While Kelly and Johnson are playing in the CFL, the door has been opened for a few notable names to join them. CFL teams have negotiation lists of up to 45 players who are playing in the NFL, other pro leagues, etc. Those teams have exclusive CFL negotiating rights with the players should they choose to sign into the league.
Denzel Mims, a 2020 second-round pick of the Jets who’s currently on the Cowboys, has been added to the Argos’ negotiation list as has quarterback Hendon Hooker (Tennessee Titans).

LAS VEGAS – The 2026 NBA Summer League action wrapped up on Sunday, with two consolation games and a championship game featuring two lottery picks from the 2026 NBA Draft: No. 3 pick Cameron Boozer of the Memphis Grizzlies and No. 11 pick Yaxel Lendeborg of the Golden State Warriors.
Both teams had different paths of getting to the championship game. The Grizzlies had a solid Summer League outing – going 4-1 with an 11.4 point differential to take second place in the standings and beat the Houston Rockets 101-90 on Saturday to advance to the Finals.
For the Warriors, they snuck into the semifinals. The Denver Nuggets had to win their game vs. the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday by more than 15 points to reach the semis, but the Warriors’ 5.8 point differential proved to be the difference. The Warriors beat the Los Angeles Lakers 92-88 on Saturday to reach the Finals.
These two teams faced off earlier in Vegas, where the Grizzlies beat the Warriors 106-85. This time around, the Warriors flipped the script and defeated the Grizzlies 94-90. This is the second time the Warriors won the Las Vegas Summer League title (2013), with Lendeborg winning the MVP of the game.

1. Yaxel Lendeborg, Golden State Warriors
Lendeborg was the driving force behind the Warriors’ championship win, as he showed off his versatility and answered the challenge on both ends.
Defensively, he forced Boozer to shoot 41.2% from the field and 3-for-7 from 3-point range. Despite picking up his fourth foul in the third quarter, he managed to stay out of foul trouble for the rest of the game.
He finished with a 21-point, 10-rebound double-double while draining two 3-pointers. He went on a personal 7-0 run in the fourth quarter that provided the Warriors with enough momentum to close out the game.
In Las Vegas Summer League action, Lendeborg finished with 14.8 ppg, 6.8 rpg and 4.0 assists. His 21-point, 10-rebound performance was eerily similar to his first game in Las Vegas.
2. Deivon Smith, Golden State Warriors
Smith provided the second unit with stability as he dropped 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds – an impressive feat from the six-foot guard who went to St. Johns.
He played for the Santa Cruz Warriors for part of the 2025-26 G League season. In nine games, he averaged 17.2 ppg and shot 39.3% from 3-point range.
Jones was critical in the Warriors’ championship win as he relentlessly attacked the basket and sought out holes in the Grizzlies’ defense.
3. Will Richard, Golden State Warriors
Richard heated up in the second half as the second-year guard ended with 13 points on an efficient 5-for-10 shooting while draining three 3-pointers.
When the Warriors’ offense looked stagnant in the second half, it was Richard who provided the spark.
Most of his shots came as he patiently waited to catch and shoot on the perimeter. He showed his growth and development during Summer League action and was opportunistic.
4. Cameron Boozer, Memphis Grizzlies
Despite the loss, Boozer had himself a decent game. He finished with 19 points, eight rebounds and nailed three 3-pointers.
Boozer found his rhythm late. He drilled a 3-pointer to force the Warriors into a timeout at 91-90 with 1:20 remaining in the fourth quarter, but that would be the last field goal he would make in the game.
5. Cedric Coward, Memphis Grizzlies
Throughout Summer League action, Coward provided veteran presence as the second-year guard had a productive week in Las Vegas.
In the championship game, he notched 19 points, six rebounds and four assists while making all five of his 3-point attempts.
Coward averaged 13.6 ppg last season as a rookie, and although he was the most experienced of the Grizzlies’ Summer League roster, it was important for Coward to find some momentum with Boozer heading into training camp.

Earlier in the day, Dion Brown (16 pts, 10 reb, 11 ast) and John Ukomadu (23 pts, 9 reb, 2 stl, 2 blk, 1 reverse alley-oop throw down) headed up seven double-figure scorers for the Nets in defeating the Thunder 108-90 to finish their Vegas run with a winning record.
Jahmi’us Ramsey (20 pts on 9-for-9 shooting) capped Denver’s Summer League campaign with a perfect shooting performance as they beat the Raptors 96-89.
Yaxel Lendeborg (21 pts, 10 reb, 2 stl) put up nine points in the fourth quarter, out-dueling Cameron Boozer (19 pts, 8 reb, 4 ast) to help the Warriors claim the 2026 NBA Summer League championship.
Devion Smith (21 pts, 9 reb) came up huge off the bench for Golden State, which earned a 50-40 advantage in rebounds and a 52-40 edge in points in the paint in the win.
The Grizzlies had a 12-point lead heading into the fourth, but the Warriors rallied.
“It’s the culture these guys have been about since day one,” said Warriors coach Khalid Robinson. “They had each other’s backs, they supported each other.”
Lendeborg was named the Most Valuable Player of the game, while Warriors legend Rick Barry presented the Summer League trophy to the team.

Lendeborg is the second player to win the NCAA men’s basketball title and the Summer League championship in the same season, joining Tyus Jones (2015).
After almost stripping the ball from Yaxel Lendeborg in the backcourt, Cameron Boozer had a clean look at an above-the-break 3-pointer on the next possession.
But it bounced off the left rim, setting up a free throw battle with Golden State up 91-90.

He’s interesting every time he touches the ball — his head is up, and he has a move for basically every situation. You never see him hurried, and his shooting touch has been consistent.

The Grizzlies advanced to the Summer League championship game by defeating the Rockets 101-90, as Cedric Coward (28 pts, 6 reb, 5 ast) and Cameron Boozer (12 pts, 12 reb, 5 ast) showed out.
The Wizards ended their summer with a 91-83 win over the Hawks, cued by Reece Beekman (13 pts, 6 reb, 14 ast).
Yaxel Lendeborg (15 pts, 2 blk, team-high +11) led the Warriors over the Lakers 92-88 to reach the championship game, winning a back-and-forth affair that came down to the final minute.
Jalen Slawson (22 pts, 4 blk) finished off a strong summer by leading the Pacers to a 91-73 win over the Pelicans, aided by Yuki Kawamura (12 ast).
Miles Kelly (20 pts) scored the last 12 points for the Spurs to lift them over the Suns 86-81 to cap the night.

DHS acelera implementación de cámaras en equipos de ICE
El funcionario ya había expresado su respaldo a la incorporación de cámaras corporales en las operaciones migratorias. La semana pasada, el Departamento de Seguridad Nacional anunció que cada equipo de detención de ICE contará con al menos un agente equipado con este tipo de dispositivo.
Tras el tiroteo ocurrido en Houston, el DHS informó que las cámaras ya habían sido distribuidas en más de la mitad de sus oficinas regionales y que las restantes comenzarían a recibirlas en un plazo aproximado de 60 días.
Legisladores demócratas habían exigido mayores controles sobre las operaciones migratorias tras otros enfrentamientos mortales protagonizados por agentes federales. Aunque las conversaciones no llegaron a un acuerdo inicial, posteriormente se aprobaron fondos que incluían 20 millones de dólares destinados a cámaras corporales.
Homan sostuvo que esa cantidad no era suficiente para cubrir todas las necesidades del departamento.
El funcionario aseguró que, tras la aprobación de un paquete de mayor financiamiento para las agencias fronterizas, ya se adquirieron los equipos y comenzó la capacitación de instructores para extender su uso a nivel nacional.
Homan pidió esperar los resultados de las investigaciones, aunque defendió las medidas adoptadas por el secretario del DHS, Markwayne Mullin, quien suspendió temporalmente las detenciones vehiculares tras los incidentes. El presidente Donald Trump posteriormente levantó esa suspensión.
Ambos tiroteos ocurrieron durante intentos de detención de vehículos y el DHS reconoció que las personas heridas no eran el objetivo principal de las operaciones migratorias.
Homan también cuestionó la retórica de algunos críticos del ICE, al señalar que ciertos mensajes podrían incentivar a algunas personas a resistirse a los agentes federales. “Independientemente de lo que la gente piense del ICE o de la ley de inmigración, siempre se debe cooperar con las fuerzas del orden”, afirmó.

Hay que tener talento para levantarse de un tropiezo contra el débil Cabo Verde y crecer al punto de darle un repaso a un equipazo de la categoría de Francia y someter a un campeón mundial, sin llegar a necesitar de la mejor versión de su mejor hombre, Lamine Yamal. Es la prueba viva de que “nadie es más fuerte que todos juntos”.
Hay que tener el pulso en una federación nacional para creer, flaqueando pero no dudando, en un proceso que es lo que al final se ha coronado en Nueva Jersey: el de un entrenador como Luis de la Fuente que formó a varios de los chicos que levantan el trofeo (incluso al técnico rival) creyendo en una idea por encima de toda tendencia. Los países que aspiran a los títulos los siembran en las categorías inferiores y los cosechan en las de mayores y son un solo cuerpo en formación, en entrenamiento, en idea de juego, en manejo, en confianza, en la dificultad del día a día. No se aprende nada en un mes de concentración ni en cinco semanas de competencia que no se traiga ya desde las bases.

Yeremy Pino confirmó que cumplirá la palabra empeñada, aunque aclaró con humor: “Me lo haré, ¡pero en un lugar no muy visible!”.

The 2023 CFL Most Outstanding Player has thrown for 2,126 yards (second in the CFL) and 15 touchdowns (second). Unfortunately, his nine interceptions lead the league through six games played. Kelly was drafted by the Denver Broncos. He played just one NFL game in his career, was released in 2018 by Denver and signed with the Indianapolis Colts in 2019. He was released in 2020 by the club, concluding an NFL career mired by an arrest for trespassing following a Halloween party and a suspension for violation of the league’s personal conduct policy.
KeeSean Johnson, previously a wide receiver with the Arizona Cardinals and a handful of other NFL teams, has 36 receptions (third in the CFL) for 479 receiving yards (third) and three touchdowns through five games.
While Kelly and Johnson are playing in the CFL, the door has been opened for a few notable names to join them. CFL teams have negotiation lists of up to 45 players who are playing in the NFL, other pro leagues, etc. Those teams have exclusive CFL negotiating rights with the players should they choose to sign into the league.
Denzel Mims, a 2020 second-round pick of the Jets who’s currently on the Cowboys, has been added to the Argos’ negotiation list as has quarterback Hendon Hooker (Tennessee Titans).
