Reports: Kristaps Porziņģis opts to remain with Warriors on 2-year contract

Kristaps Porzingis reportedly intends to re-sign with the Warriors.

The Warriors are reportedly re-signing center Kristaps Porziņģis.

ESPN’s Shams Charania first reported Monday that Porziņģis, who has played for six teams in 10 seasons, will re-sign with the Warriors on a two-year deal worth $40 million.

Additional reporting indicates that the second year of the contract is a player option.

Porziņģis averaged 16.1 points per game on 43.3 percent shooting in 15 games with the Warriors after being acquired from the Hawks at the trade deadline.

The 7-foot-2 center has averaged 19.5 points per game in 533 career NBA games, and he won a championship with the Boston Celtics in 2024.

He’s shot 36.4% on 3-pointers for his career, but he hit just 31.1% with Golden State.
